On 8 July 2022, the ZHAW School of Engineering in Winterthur will open its doors for the Night of Engineering from 6pm to 11pm.
The Night of Technology offers exciting insights into current research projects with artificial intelligence, augmented reality and robotics. There will also be a children's lab with tricky tasks for the little guests, unusual frackmobiles from the graduates and two strong live acts on the forecourt of the Technikum. In addition, there will be guided tours of research laboratories and an exhibition of the final theses of this year's graduates.
Virtual apple picking with augmented reality
"Holoreach" is the name of the project that aims to help stroke patients regain their trunk control thanks to augmented reality glasses. Through the glasses, the patient sees virtual apples and pears waiting to be picked. This is accompanied by training of trunk and arm function. At the Night of Technology, visitors are invited to reach for the virtual fruits themselves.
