Publicis Zurich and Metaverse Academy launch Metaverse Kickstarter for CMOs

The Metaverse Kickstarter takes marketing managers on a journey into the Metaverse in an exclusive afternoon programme. Dr Martha Boeckenfeld, thought leader and Dean of the Metaverse Academy and Roger Oberholzer, Executive Strategy Director of Publicis Zurich will elaborate on various strategies and best practices for brands to successfully enter VR in an interactive format.

Metaverse, NFTs and Web3 are complex and multi-layered topics. Opinions on the development of the trend range from just another hype that will pass to a revolution in business, society and marketing.

The Metaverse Kickstarter cuts through hype as well as rejection and makes it possible to  Chief Marketing Officers (CMO) to jointly elaborate both the potential and the challenges of the current development in a simple entry and to develop ideas for entry. Three questions are at the centre:

  • Knowledge Infusion: What is the Metaverse and why is it important for brands?
  • Metaverse Strategy: How can brands successfully enter the metaverse?
  • Metaverse Experience: How does it actually feel to explore the Metaverse?

"There are many companies that have missed the developments in eCommerce and social media in the past. This has led to major upheavals in the market," says Roger Oberholzer, Executive Strategy Director of Publicis Zurich. "Now there is a new opportunity to engage early with an innovation that will change consumer behaviour and society - perhaps very quickly, but definitely over the next few years."

Dr Martha Boeckenfeld, Dean of the Metaverse Academy, adds: "There are new opportunities for luxury brands as well as in the retail, entertainment, financial services and education sectors. The development is moving incredibly fast. Those who make the first learning experiences now will be rewarded with a competitive advantage."

The first Metaverse Kickstarter will take place on 24 January from 15.00 - 19.00 at Publicis am Stadelhofen. The number of participants is limited to 12 CMOs.
