Fusion Arena and VR City to celebrate reopening soon

The long wait will soon be over and then it will be time to laugh together and have fun together in virtual worlds again in Bern and Zurich, announces the Fusion Arena and VR City. The event is expected to take place on 8 June!

We hope you have survived the lockdown well. Soon, various leisure activities and therefore probably also the Fusion Arena in Bern and Zurich and the VR City in ZurichThe Fusion Arena has euphorically announced that it will reopen on 11 May. The Fusion Arena euphorically announced the reopening on 11 May. However, it now appears to have been postponed. We assume that they will open on 8 June, just like VR City. We will enquire and keep you up2date!

But no matter when they celebrate the reopening, a lot has happened at the Fusion Arena: Hear, hear: In order to enable a safe reopening, not only has a protection concept been developed accordingly, but even the ticket categories have been completely revised.

The single ticket is a thing of the past, corona or no corona

Many visitors have so far expressed the desire to play alone (without other people). With the 10-player games, such as Tikal and the water, this has only been possible to a limited extent to date. Either you had to accept having to play with strangers or you had to pay a corresponding surcharge for a 10-player group booking.

The COVID pandemic has now put an end to this discussion. From now on, there is only the possibility to book rounds. In this way, we fulfil the Federal Council's requirements not to mix groups and to adhere to the maximum group size of 4 people. In addition, this booking system will remain in place after COVID-19, regardless of the size of the groups.

The price reduction and Family Day

The prices for a round are calculated for 4 or 8 people. This means that groups of 5 or 10 people save 20%. If you only want to play a large 10-player game with three or four people, this is now possible at a normal price, regardless of the game.

A completely new ticket category is the family ticket on Wednesdays. The family tickets are for children and young people up to the age of 16 accompanied by their parents, guardians or godparents.

Bookable immediately without the planned launch event: The Lost City

The latest action shooter from the company True VR is here. The game is now being completely relaunched. After the outbreak of the zombie pandemic, humanity lost all major cities and had to retreat to rural areas. For months, the military planned the recapture of the city in order to build a new base. Hundreds of soldiers were deployed, supported by vehicles and helicopters. But the mission turned out to be a disaster.

How does a visit to us during COVID-19 times work?

The hygiene measures that Fusion Arena described in detail in its last blog article, can be found here. All equipment that comes into contact with customers is thoroughly sanitised. We have also implemented the following measures:
  1. Each guest will receive a protective mask and nitrile gloves from us. Both are included in the ticket price.
  2. The group size is limited to 4 people. Only one of our employees will be on site.
  3. The waiting group is physically separated from the playing group in the lounge. This means that a maximum of 9 people are spread over 500 square metres (Fusion Arena Bern and Zurich).
  4. We do not accept walk-in customers.
  5. Each player is identified via the check-in with name, telephone number and e-mail to ensure traceability vis-à-vis the Federal Council & FOPH.
  6. Particularly vulnerable people or sick people are not allowed to visit us.
