How "The Information" based on two insider sources, Facebook wants to invest massively in exclusive VR games to push its own Oculus headsets. There is talk of an investment of around one billion US dollars.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is even said to be personally involved in the new venture. So if the report is true, exclusive games are very important to the group to improve VR headset sales, with one of the sources in The Information report saying that Oculus Quest significantly exceeded sales forecasts.
Facebook has allegedly already found a partner with Ubisoft to publish exclusive VR titles based on the well-known brands "Splinter Cell" and "Assassin's Creed". There is no official statement from Facebook or Ubisoft. The whole thing should therefore be regarded as a rumour.
