Cybergym - Switzerland's first VR sports centre

In the Cybergym in Unterentfelden AG there are only sweaty VR applications. You can choose from: the tower, a VR fitness tour and GoalieVR. The service from Sromline promises lots of fun and action.

Virtual Reality Fitness is exercising in the virtual world. It is highly motivating and a special experience. In principle, any home can be transformed into a fitness and sports centre. Those who could not or do not want to afford a VR set yet now have the opportunity to train like a cyborg in Unterentfelden AG at the House of Dance. In the new Cybergym from Sromline there are three options to choose from:

  • the tower (Towermax Fitness)
  • a VR Fitness Tour
  • GoalieVR

Those who are more of a beginner can get a first impression with VR Fitness or Goalie VR. Players get a glimpse of various virtual reality activities so they can feel the physical exertion. For advanced or experienced martial artists, there is Towermax Fitness, an intensive sound-based virtual reality fitness training.

Martial arts in VR

Players train on a tower that gets higher with your good performance. There are targets to hit and objects to dodge. It is an efficient full-body workout, burning an average of 1000 calories per hour. Personalisation options allow you to put together your own workout. There are different ways to train on the tower, hard, intense, loose, mixed, endurance, agility, coordination, strength, speed, technique. You can train with interval timers and connect a heart rate sensor. The training is recorded, so you can view the statistics.

The basic elements are straight, hook and chin hook punches, kicks, squats, steps, running, dodging and other movements. All sequences are randomly generated. This always gives players a different workout.

Private training

In the Cybergym you are private with an instructor and you can train with all the features. The equipment is made available to you. Visitors get a briefing on how to use the equipment if they are not familiar with virtual reality. After that you spend the rest of the time actively in Virtual Reality. It takes 2-3 training sessions to get used to training with the tower. But even once is enough to get a taste of VR Fitness, according to the operators. Training sessions can be booked for CHF 35.

Martial artists with kicking experience wanted

Those who are martial artists and have kick experience can now try a free Towermax Fitness session. Sromline is looking for testers who would like to try out the new kick mode for them. You can find more information about this, like everything else, on the Website.

As a martial artist and personal trainer, a detailed personal test report will follow shortly!
