Back in November 2017, HTC launched the mobile VR headset Vive Focus was announced, but only for the Chinese market. At GDC 2018 in San Francisco, the manufacturer announced that Vive Focus will also be released on international markets in 2018, including Europe.
Vive Focus was developed to appeal to a wider audience in the mass market and commercial users or companies who want a practical and portable VR experience, as the VR headset does not require a PC. On the official side interested developers can already register for dev kits.

HTC adds in the current press release: "In addition, developers who provide content for Vive Focus or PC-based Vive for Viveport in China will receive a revenue share of 100% from title sales and Viveport subscription in China from April to September 2018. Viveport continues to be the best platform for VR developers, and through the rev-share model, Vive further motivates developers to create the best VR content, regardless of hardware."
