The City Illusion takes guests on a journey through time with audio-visual special effects into the past of the city of Zurich. Famous personalities are played by real actors.
Participants get to know famous Zurich personalities such as Albert Einstein, C. G. Jung, Huldrych Zwingli and Katharina von Zimmern. They show their very personal Zurich at a total of five locations. Immersing yourself in the city's past has never been so easy - and so exciting. Simply put on VR glasses and experience historical people, houses and scenes as if you had travelled through time yourself. The virtual reality scenes are each between 30 and 300 seconds long.
Guided tour
Throughout the tour, interested visitors are accompanied by an expert who explains how to use the VR glasses and is available to help with any other problems.
The tours are currently only in English. However, German will be available in the near future. The minimum age is 13. The limit is still open at the top, as long as you feel fit enough to walk for 70 minutes at a time and can climb some stairs. So far, the oldest participant has been 85 years old. Basically, the tour takes place in all weathers. In bad weather, a large umbrella is obligatory.
The tours can be booked until the end of the year with mulled wine included in the price, and there is currently a discount code on the website. There is also a VIP tour where interested people can explore virtual Zurich with up to three friends over champagne and finger food. A special tour for up to seven people can also be booked as a team event.
