Virtual reality shows the way to the mobility car

The data-based outdoor campaign by Bandara, Stuiq and Mediatonic shows in an innovative way how to quickly get to the nearest Mobility location.

The car-sharing service Mobility is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. To mark the occasion, the Zurich AR and VR agency Bandara has developed an AR experience in which virtual balloons guide you to the nearest Mobility location. The starting point is 500 posters that have been placed near specific locations.

A QR code takes you to a landing page that uses GPS data to find the way to the next Mobility location. At each fork in the road there is an augmented reality balloon to collect. Until you finally arrive at the location, where a free trial subscription awaits you, which you can either use yourself or give away as a gift.

Stuiq's OOH campaign shows that Mobility offers exactly the right solution for every individual need and for every transport task - a Mobility car in all sizes and right nearby.

Thanks to precise media planning, this proximity was brought to life in the poster campaign, the statement continues. Mobility identified 300 locations with growth potential and Mediatonic booked matching qualitative OOH placements, with the distance to the next Mobility location indicated on each poster.

The campaign is extended into the digital space with various short video formats on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Snapchat. Initial results show that the completion and interaction rate of the videos is 15 per cent above the usual benchmarks.
