Together with the upcoming new film Kong: Skull Island, the legendary giant ape King Kong is also coming to VR. Even in the first King Kong version, the special effects were unique for the time. No wonder the studio Warner Bros. also played with the latest technologies for this launch.
Skull Island VR Experience
The producers have recreated the first few minutes of the film for the Skull Island VR Experience. Viewers find themselves in a helicopter alongside the film's actors. The 360° voyage of discovery in virtual reality is only idyllic for a short time, as Kong has caught the scent and is not long in coming. Warner Bros. promises an adventurous flight, but this does not contain any spoilers for the film itself.
The premiere of the new film is on Thursday, 9 March. You can already watch an animated 360° clip on YouTube.
So that viewers can look directly into the eyes of the giant creatures in their original size and meet the King himself, they will be able to put on VR goggles in the cinema and explore the island. You can even do this in Zurich before the premiere of the film, because in the Cinema Abaton the Skull Island VR Experience has been set up on the following dates since yesterday.

With Digiteg to the film premiere
Digiteg also raffles off until noon today to creative minds 10×2 exclusive tickets to the preview of Kong: Skull Island, which will take place on Monday, 6 March at the Arena Cinemas in Sihlcity takes place. The latest Samsung VR material will also be available at the VR stand there. The film itself will be shown in 3D and in the original English version with German and French subtitles from 20:30. The aperitif starts an hour earlier at 19:30.
