naoo: The Swiss social app entices with virtual reality Christmas game

naoo is the only Swiss social app. Unlike other social media apps, it awards its users points for their activities, which they can then exchange for cash. A good opportunity to try out the new app is the naoo Winter Trail, which works with virtual reality, until 31 January 2022. Users can collect points worth over 20,000 Swiss francs while Christmas shopping.

naoo is the first and only Swiss social app. It combines familiar functions of traditional social media platforms with completely new features. It intelligently brings users together based on their interests and rewards them for their engagement. The focus is on building and maintaining relationships: User surveys are used to match common preferences and interests and suggest new profiles. Their growing community includes influencers, action athletes, students and fitness models.

Earn money easily with social media

Users earn points for their activities on the naoo platform, for example for publishing a post, liking other posts, getting likes and followers and inviting friends. The points collected can be converted into money or used for competitions at any time. "With naoo, I collected over 3,500 points during one month and received 1,000 Swiss francs for it," says naoo user and stunt biker SwissFabu. "Instead of investing in advertising, we can give as much money as possible directly back to the community," says Marc-Olivier Pittner, Chief Growth Officer of naoo, explaining the motivation behind the points system. naoo is based in the city of Zug and employs a team of around twelve people.

Festive action: a virtual winter trail through the city of Zurich

Now, as part of its virtual reality Christmas game, naoo has distributed over 1,000 virtual packages in Switzerland, most of them in the city of Zurich. After downloading the app from the App Store (iOS only so far), naoo users can activate a map to see where presents have been hidden in their area. As soon as they are near a gift, they can pick it up with the app and are credited with 40 to 1,000 points depending on their location. For example, for the Üetliberg location, one receives 100 naoo points, which are equivalent to 25 Swiss francs. In addition, when collecting the gifts, one automatically enters the competition for the main and secondary prizes. A naoo member can collect each gift a maximum of once.

Marc-Olivier Pittner comments: "Our Winter Trail represents an unprecedented application of virtual reality in Switzerland. We want to introduce the functions of our platform to a broad audience in an entertaining way. He adds: "We hope that we can welcome many new users to naoo and send Pro Juventute as much money as possible through this campaign.
