Augmented Anatomy

Augmented Anatomy App helps learning

The company Erler room is an owner-managed family business that is now in its fourth generation of producing first-class medical training aids. Among other things, you can buy anatomical models of practically any part of the body from the German company. There is now an augmented reality (AR) app that lets you find out more about the 3D models.

The products can thus be experienced in a new dimension in the augmented anatomy app. Medical terms that previously had to be laboriously searched for in a physical nomenclature can now be read directly on the model via AR and further information can be accessed via Wikipedia. The free app is also available for models that have already been purchased in the past.

Certainly not the most ground-breaking, latest invention, but cases like this show once again where AR can generate great additional benefits. It certainly makes learning anatomy more fun and increases learning efficiency. This is also shown by the reviews in the App Store and Google Play. And, of course, such an application can also be very helpful for patients' understanding.
