BattleScar: VR film about New York punk scene of the 70s

In January 2021, Atlas V and Arte will release the VR animation film "BattleScar", which has a running time of approximately 30 minutes. The film focuses on the New York punk scene of the late 70s.

According to the makers, "BattleScar" is an immersive film about growing up, set in the New York punk scene of the late 70s. It follows the runaways Lupe and Debbie on their way to founding their own punk rock band. "BattleScar" is released via Steam, in the Oculus Store (Rift and Quest) and on YouTube.

"Battlescar is a VR trilogy that immerses you in the flashy punk world of teenage runaways Lupe and Debbie. Lupe, a 16-year-old Puerto Rican girl, is introduced to the punk rock scene of the Lower East Side and Alphabet City by Debbie. BattleScar was filmed in six degrees of freedom and features optical tracking systems in 3D virtual space for complete immersion," said the official description of the VR plant.
