"When you step through this door, you leave Hamburg".

Especially now in times of Corona, most people would like to beam themselves somewhere else. How about the future, with a real 360° view of the planned home? The Swiss start-up HEGIAS is making exactly that possible in its virtual reality pop-up store in the centre of Hamburg until 20 November 2020. Passers-by, but above all players in the construction and real estate industry, can experience the revolutionary solution from now on.

In the Virtual Reality Pop-Up-Store at Altstädter Strasse 13 in Hamburg, visitors enter only to leave the room again as quickly as possible. With virtual reality (VR) goggles, visitors say goodbye to another world. The authenticity of the visualisation is astonishing and quickly makes you forget that the building you are walking through 1:1 is not even there yet.

Communication and visualisation in Corona times

It is also easy to forget that in reality you are still in Hamburg, especially when you suddenly hear a "Grüezi". With the multi-user function, colleagues from Zurich 867 kilometres away can beam themselves directly into the action. Almost like in real life, they stand opposite each other with an avatar and can thus virtually inspect and discuss the building objects together - regardless of location. Especially in times of social distancing, HEGIAS VR offers enormous added value for any project in which contact creates trust and communication with different players is important for progress and the achievement of goals.

A versatile tool for architecture, construction and sales

The innovative solution is exciting for all those who work in the construction and real estate industry or are planning their own home as a builder. However, HEGIAS VR is not just another visualisation option. Architects, specialist planners or interior designers can walk through their plans together in the browser or directly in virtual reality during each phase, discuss and mark changes, try out different colour and material variants and furnish rooms. Because HEGIAS VR is cloud-based and works via any browser, it does not require any installations and the project is always available to everyone at the current status.

HEGIAS VR Roadshow as a trade fair replacement

Although HEGIAS VR can also be viewed in the browser and so-called live demos are thus possible for interested parties from anywhere; the perfect experience is obtained with VR glasses. Since all trade fairs and events are currently cancelled due to corona, HEGIAS has developed the pop-up store concept without further ado, so that they can make the equipment available to interested people around Hamburg and soon in other German conurbations. Passers-by and interested parties will have the opportunity to experience the innovation live from Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00, depending on availability, until 20 November 2020. Professionals such as architects, engineers, area developers, estate agents, shopfitters or interior designers can book an appointment with Florian Schröder, 0172 82 82 140.
