Vaudoise invites the Instagram community to a duel against Stan Wawrinka

This makes advertising fun: thanks to an augmented reality filter, Instagram users can view a virtual Tennis court play against the champion Stan Wawrinka. The filter is available on the Instagram account @VaudoiseAssurances.

A few days ago, tennis star Stan Wawrinka from the canton of Vaud announced the launch of a new filter and his followers, Tennis fans and contacts on social networks as well as his friends to compete with him on a virtual tennis court. This is made possible by an augmented reality filter, which can be seen on the stories of the Instagram account @VaudoiseAssurances.

Head to match point

Vaudoise Insurance, in collaboration with the (digital) Agency Buzz Brothers who are based in French-speaking Switzerland, have developed an interactive Instagram filter that allows users to compete against Stan Wawrinka in a fun way. The racket is moved with the head to maximise the number of rallies with Stan. Participants can win a shopping voucher worth CHF 500 for sports equipment or goodies signed by Stan. They can do this by sharing their score on Instagram and tagging @VaudoiseAssurances.

This new campaign with Stan Wawrinka is part of Vaudoise Insurance's 125th anniversary celebrations.

Gamification is the keyword

We tested the mini-game and it really is very easy to understand. Almost AR for beginners. If you start the link on the VaudoiseAssurance Instagram page, you're practically right in the middle of it, unless you have to share the camera. You can see yourself in a kind of green room via the camera.

On your marks, get set, go: Instead of using your head, you can of course also move the mobile back and forth. After a short time, the balls become so fast that you really have to keep at it. Of course, you always want to get better, so you don't stop so quickly. A good kind of gamification coupled with AR that involves customers and fans.
