Sony Interactive Entertainment has not yet made an official announcement, but it can be assumed that sometime after the PlayStation 5, perhaps as early as the first 1-2 years, also PlayStation VR 2 will appear. Now we may know what the new VR controller will look like.
For example, a Sony patent for a new VR controller was recently discovered. The device is able to detect the user's fingers, something that other companies have already discovered for themselves. As the patent describes, the sensors of the controller can detect the proximity or touch of a finger and output a corresponding signal.
In this way, various objects can also be picked up in the game by gripping the controller. This is not possible with the current PlayStation Move peripherals. Of course, patents do not always necessarily have to be implemented, but one can certainly assume that it will go in this direction.
