Abwärtskompatibilität der PS5 zu PlayStation VR

PS5 backwards compatibility with PlayStation VR

It has been known for some time that the current PlayStation VR will be compatible with the upcoming PlayStation 5. Now Sony Interactive Entertainment has revealed more information on the subject.

As Sony says, in addition to the VR headset, a DualShock 4 wireless controller or the PlayStation Move controllers and a PS Camera are required to use PSVR games/apps on the PlayStation 5. However, the new PS5 HD camera will not be compatible with PlayStation VR, you will have to use the previous PlayStation 4 camera.

According to Sony Interactive Entertainment, however, you need an adapter if you want to use the PS4 camera with the PlayStation 5. This does not have to be purchased, they say, but it is not yet known how it can be obtained. It may well be that you can request it free of charge from Sony.

Most PS4 games will be compatible with the PlayStation 5, which also applies to PlayStation VR. According to an official list that lists titles that are not compatible with the Ps5, only two PSVR games are not supported: "DWVR" and "Robinson: The Journey".
