As is already known "Doctor Who: The Edge of Time" will be released in September 2019 for Oculus Rift, Oculus Quest, HTC Vive, Vive Cosmos and PlayStation VR (developed by Maze Theory). Now we get a first look at the TARDIS.
The TARDIS can be seen for the first time in the new trailer, even if there are no real gameplay scenes yet. In addition the Manufacturer: "The TARDIS showcases the meticulous attention to detail and incredible authenticity that Maze Theory brings to the Doctor Who universe, working closely with the production team at BBC Studios. In a first for the popular sci-fi brand, fans will pilot the TARDIS with the Doctor (voiced by Jodie Whittaker), exploring every nook and cranny and travelling through space and time to a series of wondrous locations, all within virtual reality."
It adds: "The team's 3D artists, designers, sound and software engineers have brought the TARDIS to life in a process of over 1,200 hours. The precise functionality of the controls has remained true to the show and behaves exactly as it appears on the TV screen." In "Doctor Who: The Edge of Time" you will solve puzzles and face off against familiar foes, including the Daleks and the Weeping Angels.
