At the moment, the rumour is growing that Nintendo wants to take a step into virtual reality with the Switch. The Japanese company has repeatedly expressed scepticism about VR.
The page Nintendo World Report hat von seinen Quellen, die natürlich anonym bleiben wollen, erfahren, dass Nintendo noch in diesem Jahr seine erste VR-bezogene Ankündigung machen wird. Dazu heisst es: „Wir glauben auch, dass eine kleine, ausgewählte Anzahl von traditionellen First-Party-Software-Titeln in nicht allzu ferner Zukunft eine VR-Unterstützung erhalten könnte.“ Welche Spiele das sein könnten? Man darf gespannt sein.
The question naturally arises as to how Nintendo wants to implement the VR feature on the Switch, because the Switch is not the most powerful console of this generation. In addition, Nintendo has been rather sceptical about VR in the past. On the other hand, there have already been some VR hints. For example, a VR test mode was discovered in the Switch firmware data last year. So there could be some truth to the rumour.
