Viveport Infinity: Monthly subscription with access to 500 VR titles planned

Viveport wants to increase its offer a hundredfold and is thus emulating Netflix - simply in the VR sector. The new plan is to make 500 VR titles available per month.

HTC apparently wants to attract more virtual reality fans and Steam VR users to its own software ecosystem: At CES, the company announced that its VR subscription service Viveport will increase its offer a hundredfold. Instead of five titles per month, subscribers will soon have access to 500 titles - in effect, almost half the catalogue, which offers a total of over 1000 games and apps.

The official blog also talks about the "500 best apps". of the store. Incidentally, Viveport also supports the Oculus Rift in addition to the company's own Vive headset. HTC is apparently trying to establish a VR counterpart to Netflix in the VR sector and overcome the dominance of SteamVR.

The costs for the new offer with 500 games available per month have not yet been announced; HTC has so far only spoken of a "low price" in this context. So far enough the price staggered in several monthly models from a free trial for 14 days to 89.99 euros for a year. However, the number of games that can be used also varies from month to month:
