To celebrate the cinema release of „Distorted“ zu begleiten, haben OneTouchVR, Minds Eye Entertainment und SkyVR den 10 Minuten langen 360-Grad-Kurzfilm „Distorted Reality“ zur Verfügung gestellt. Darin trifft man wie im Hauptfilm auf John Cusack und Christina Ricci.
„Distorted Reality“ wird über OneTouchVR on Google Daydream, Oculus Go, Samsung Gear VR, Oculus Rift and iOS. The content is also available in stereo 3D via the Littlstar app on Playstation VR, Google Daydream, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Samsung Gear VR and more. John Cusack and Christina Ricci make their VR debut in the film.
In „Distorted“ bzw. „Distorted Reality“ geht es um eine Frau (Christina Ricci), die in ein modernes und komplett automatisiertes Apartment zieht. Allerdings scheint sie mehr und mehr ihren Verstand zu verlieren. Ein Journalist (John Cusack) ist der Meinung, dass sie in ihrem schicken Smart-Home einer neuen Form von telepathischer Gehirnwäsche unterzogen wird.
