No VR for Xbox

Of the three big console manufacturers, only Sony is betting on virtual reality and is quite successful with PlayStation VR, at least more successful than Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. Nintendo and Microsoft do not have their own VR products for their consoles.

However, since Microsoft is betting on Windows Mixed Reality, the leap to Xbox One is actually not far away, is it? „Unsere Perspektive war und ist die, dass der PC wahrscheinlich die beste Plattform für immersives VR und MR ist. Als offene Plattform ermöglicht er einfach eine schnellere Iteration,“ so Mike Nichols weiter. Damit überlässt Microsoft der Konkurrenz von Sony vorerst das Feld. Aber wer weiss, mit der nächsten Konsolen-Generation könnte sich das Ganze wieder ändern.
