Ultimate Virtual Reality Motorcycle Simulator

Attention motorbike fans: Soon you will be able to experience a real riding experience on a motorbike on the spot. The wow factor comes less from the 3D graphics in the virtual environment and more from the "input device": the player mounts a full-size hydraulically controlled motorbike to speed around the racetrack.

Crudenthe designer and manufacturer of various motorsport simulators, recently published the first images of the VR application with the technical name B306HMD. Cruden has been working on the perfect motorbike simulator for over ten years, since 2005 to be precise. To this end, the manufacturer from the Netherlands, with offshoots in America, China and South Korea, is recreating a full-size motorbike.

The input device, which is packed with technology, not only tracks the bike's controls via a motion sensor, but also the biker's body via special sensors. For example, the biker can lean into the bend with the bike just like in real life. Added to this are motorbike movements controlled by hydraulics and realistic control inputs, giving the rider an absolutely realistic riding experience.

It remains to be seen which VR headset the manufacturer will use, but the technical data sounds like a proprietary system. A price for the simulator is not yet known. Unfortunately, it will probably be too expensive for most private users. You would also have to have space for a motorbike in your living room.

The manufacturer names research institutes, for example for road safety, and professional racing teams as the target group. Will the B306-HMD also find its way into a public VR arcade?
