A city becomes virtual.

The cantonal capital of Liestal has been virtually visitable since April 2017. On the occasion of the renovation of Rathausstrasse from March to December 2017, KMU Liestal (kmu.li) organised the campaign Excavator challenge was launched. Visitors can discover Liestal virtually and go on an excavator hunt. A toy excavator is hidden in each of 41 shops, offices and businesses. Whoever finds all the excavators can take part in the competition.

The following SME shopping vouchers are up for grabs:
1 x Fr. 300.-, 3 x Fr. 100.-, 8 x Fr. 50.-

The project was realised by the Berchtold Marketing GmbH from Liestal, which has several years of experience in the field of virtual reality. One hundred 360° panoramas were taken for the project, which are made up of 1386 individual photos. A navigation concept was also developed so that visitors can quickly find their way around the virtual environment.

Another highlight is the link to social media. In addition to the conventional "Share" and "Like" buttons, visitors can take photos throughout the city and share them directly by e-mail or via Facebook and LinkedIn.

The campaign runs until 16 December 2017.
