Will Apple introduce a VR headset this year?

Many global technology companies such as Sony, Facebook, HTC, Samsung and Google have launched all kinds of different VR headsets on the market. However, one big name is missing. We are of course talking about Apple. However, it can be strongly assumed that the makers of the iPhone and iPad are working on their own AR/VR product, as corresponding patents have long since been discovered. But when will Apple release a VR headset?

Shuhei Yoshida, the President of Sony Worldwide Studios and a great supporter of the Virtual Realityhas dared to make a prediction. According to his prediction, Apple will announce an AR/VR product in 2017. Does he perhaps already have inside information? Apple could shake up the market with its own VR headset and potentially inspire many more users to embrace virtual reality. Apple's solution could go in the direction of Google Daydream or Samsung Gear VR in order to create a connection with the iPhone to make this possible. A completely different approach is also conceivable, which is why we will have to wait and see.
