Il fumetto parla di una crew hip-hop californiana che combatte un dio alieno. Il dio lancia una maledizione su spacciatori e gangster che li trasforma in zombie. La storia è stata ideata dal frontman Will.i.am, mentre i disegni sono dell'artista di fumetti e graffiti Damion Scott.
Zum Cast von „Masters of the Sun: The Virtual Reality Experience“ gehören unter anderem Stan Lee, Queen Latifah, Jamie Foxx, KRS-One, Rakim, Jason Isaacs und Slick Rick. Will.i.am und der berühmte Komponist Hans Zimmer haben zusammen den Soundtrack erschaffen.
