Wednesday is the season opening of the Zurich Tonhalle. And from 16 September to 6 October, you can get to know the young Beethoven there with VR glasses.
"Beethoven // Opus 360" wants to inspire young people for classical music, we have written about it before. reports. The virtual reality game "BEETHOVEN // OPUS 360" has received the German Computer Game Award 2023, among other awards. It conveys classical cultural themes interactively and engagingly - for everyone.
Interactive Battle with Beethoven
Now those interested can put on VR glasses from 16 September to 6 October 2023 at the Tonhalle Zurich. They will meet the young Beethoven and end up in a rap battle. Now it's all up to the player: by actively intervening in the action, including determining various beats and rap lines, you stand by Beethoven as a coach. Together you win the heart of the audience. In this interactive world, you get to know Beethoven in a completely new and different way. The game lasts about 30 minutes.
The game is recommended for anyone over the age of twelve.

A day with Beethoven
At Saturday, 16 September those interested can try out the game free of charge from 10 am to 4 pm in the concert foyer of the Tonhalle Zurich. Glasses will be reserved, provided one registers for a free time slot. A supporting programme offers even more exciting information about the composer and his life. For example, there will be an interview with the inventors of the game: Arthur and Victor Abs developed the project idea for BEETHOVEN // OPUS 360 in 2018, then aged 20 and 16, with the aim of getting their peers interested in cultural topics and especially in Beethoven by means of a VR game. In addition, visitors can enjoy live music by the Loewe Quartet and the battle rapper Sizyphos alias Tristan Steeg from BEETHOVEN // OPUS 36 this Saturday. All info & registration
