Pecha Kucha VR Night

On Friday, 24 February 2017, the House of Electronic Arts Basel (HeK) will host the Pecha Kucha VR Night took place. Once again a good opportunity to learn more about VR. Admission is free of charge. The organisers are expecting a mixed audience: VR enthusiasts/users, VR professionals, but also students and lecturers from Hyperwerk who are interested in the medium and are involved in its development.

Pecha Kucha - according to Wikipedia This expression describes a presentation technique from Japan. With 20 pictures and 20 seconds per picture, the speaker should give his presentation in a total of 6:40 minutes. No long blah blah blah. No rambling. Speakers from the Swiss VR scene will therefore be challenged at the Pecha Kucha VR Night. In this entertaining format, various players from the worlds of art, research and science will present their VR-related projects. How do they deal with VR? How can VR be integrated into everyday life or work? What are the speakers still missing? And where will this medium lead?

The evening is part of the group exhibition "The unframed world - virtual reality in the 21st century", which we have already reported on. reportedwill take place. The curator of the exhibition, Tina Sauerländer, will host the evening.
