Lange Nacht der Museen

Long Night of the Museums with VR

It's that time again: the annual Long Night of Museums in Zurich is coming up on Saturday, 2 September. Attractions featuring virtual and augmented reality experiences will also be there.

There is hardly a better opportunity than the LONG NIGHT to discover the extraordinary diversity of Zurich's museums: whether art, architecture/design/creation, cultural history, non-European cultures, natural science/medicine, plants and animals - the spectrum offers something for every interest. Tomorrow, 2 September from 18:00 to 02:00 in Zurich.

Virtual Soccer Zone at the Fifa Museum

The Fifa Mueseum shows visitors the exciting world of virtual football. In the VR experience, you can choose whether you want to prevent goals as a goalkeeper or score spectacular goals with your head. Fun and action are guaranteed in the Virtual Soccer Zone. However, the pleasure of the game is relatively short: the Playing time per person is about 2 minutes. Note on the side: In my opinion, a visit is still worthwhile, even as a not very football enthusiast, I found the museum very exciting.

VR cinema: The beginnings of Zürcher Kantonalbank

The Zürcher Kantonalbank is the exclusive guest of the Finance Museum for the LONG NIGHT.

Visitors can immerse themselves in the 19th century with VR glasses and experience first-hand when Hanni meets her husband during the factory fire in Uster, perceives the Spanish-Brötli railway as a threat and, like many others, calls for the founding of a cantonal bank.

The VR film "Hanni und die stürmischen Zeiten des Kantons Zürich" lasts 20 minutes and is in Swiss German. It is not suitable for children under 12.

In addition, the Zürcher Kantonalbank is bringing a giant piggy bank exclusively for the LONG NIGHT - this contains a monitor showing, among other things, the history of savings; from the piggy bank to digital account management.
