Intelligent ski goggles

Back in January, the Zurich-based start-up presented its ski goggles called Sirius, which are equipped with artificial intelligence and augmented reality, at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The product is based on a patented technology that enables the use of an augmented reality system outdoors. It offers the possibility to place virtual objects (e.g. slalom poles) in the outdoor world while ensuring safety by identifying danger zones.

This mask has been offered online for a few months for 600 to 1000 Swiss francs and is available as a standard or pro model. Via Bluetooth and connected to a smartphone, it integrates various functions such as mobile data (call and SMS), an HD camera with which you can take photos and live videos, and an SOS button to alert help in case of problems. Various data and information can be displayed, e.g. wind strength, altitude, location of relatives, ski lift timetables or speed. Side buttons allow the user to navigate from one function to another without taking off their gloves.
