3D configurator wins - best Swiss web project 2021

At the Best of Swiss Web Award 2021, the jury's verdict was: "This 360-degree implementation is worthy of gold!" The jury presented a quadruple award for a project from the industrial sector. Every year, the Best of Swiss Web Award honours outstanding work by Swiss companies with a focus on web technology.

Of this year's 326 submissions from various industries, the EAO 3D configurator was able to convince the experts: no other project scored better in the jury's overall assessment. At the award ceremony at the beginning of the week, the EAO AG therefore received four awards: Gold in the "Productivity" category, silver in the "Digital Commerce" and "Business" categories and bronze in the "Usability" category.

Award for product from the industrial environment

The award is remarkable and rare in that a project from the industrial environment comes out on top against the predominantly consumer-based competition, which is described as a "rarity" for EAO AG and, in their opinion, "speaks in favour of the high quality of the EAO 3D configurator." The jury's verdict: "The EAO 3D configurator is a productivity coup. The online toolkit supports customers anywhere in the world, regardless of language and culture. The entire sales process has been significantly optimised both internally and externally."

AR is completely convincing

The all-round successful implementation and the innovative use of augmented reality (AR) were particularly emphasised: The idea of building an emergency button configurator with AR support completely won over the jury. A sensible use case for AR was identified and realised in a visually ingenious way. Jury verdict: "This 360-degree realisation is worthy of gold!"

David Kramer, Head of Corporate Marketing EAO AG and project manager of the 3D configurator, is delighted that the Olten-based company has taken the right path into the digital future with the 3D configurator. The intensive months of development in collaboration with the digital agency Eyekon and the data specialists from Intelliact have definitely paid off with the Best of Swiss Web Award. "EAO is proud to be able to offer customers an excellent digital experience," concludes Kramer.
