Swiss Art Expo VR

Virtual Realtiy at the SWISSARTEXPO

The Swiss art festival SWISSARTEXPO, which has been taking place for the third time this year in Zurich's main station hall since 25 August and will continue until tomorrow, 29 August, offers talented and up-and-coming artists from all over the world a platform to present their original works of art to the public. Virtual reality (VR) has also found its place once again.

Thanks to this concept, not only artists who already have a collaboration with a gallery are given a chance, but also those who are still aiming for this stage in their career. The exhibition is curated to ensure a high level of diversity and quality. The art exhibition is organised by the Swiss start-up ARTBOX.GROUPS GmbH, which was founded in 2016 by the internationally renowned chainsaw artist Patricia Zenklusen and her family.

In addition to virtual reality and the original works of art on display, there are many other attractions for visitors in the "Creative Garden". The Creative Garden is the interactive part of the exhibition where you can try your hand at art in many different ways.

The SWISSARTEXPO concept, which is unique in Switzerland and combines traditional exhibition concepts with new technologies such as virtual reality, is primarily about giving artists access to these platforms. Patricia Zenklusen explains: "Especially in today's digitalised world, we consider it essential that artists do not remain tied to traditional exhibition forms. The digital world, be it the internet, digital presentations or virtual reality, offers various possibilities and opportunities from which artists should definitely benefit."
