The VR Cinema Tour 2021 starts

It hasn't been possible for a long time and now it's starting again. The VR Tour of We are Cinema starts.

The first stop will be Altdorf UR. We Are Cinema will be there from Friday, 2 July to Sunday, 4 July. In the heart of Switzerland, award-winning and diverse films await visitors. All of them handpicked from different genres. Of course, they are short films again, as the 360° clips are much more intense than a normal film. In VR Cinema you are not just a spectator, but part of the film. On the Website you will also find a comfort scale per film. This allows visitors to estimate in advance what intensity they can expect.

Further locations in the Zurich and Basel area are also fixed and will be announced shortly.

New glasses and new concept

To offer visitors the best possible experience, the new state of the art 4K VR glasses from Pico will be used this year. The image resolution should therefore be better than at previous editions.

Furthermore, in addition to the conventional screenings, which are based on several films on one theme, the single ticket is now also offered. This means that everyone can put together their own programme. If you don't like a film, you can take a short break, refresh yourself a little or enjoy one of the new sideshows that will take place from now on whenever possible.

The protection concept

It will now only be possible to pay by card at the box office. After each performance, the VR glasses will be disinfected and disinfectants, protective masks and goggles will be available free of charge. Furthermore, the seating distance is at least 1.5m and the performances are limited to a maximum of 30 people.

According to the organisers, ticktes should be pre-ordered online if possible.
