Arbopark

Switzerland's largest indoor leisure park is to be built in Arbon

Arbopark Promotion AG wants to build a leisure park in a Saurer hall for 1.4 million. Virtual reality experiences are to be part of this. A planning application is currently pending.

Arbon may soon become a crowd-puller for leisure enthusiasts. A leisure park is to be built in one of the Saurer buildings at Textilstrasse 2, next to the Jumbo. The building contains a total of three halls. The centre hall is to undergo a change of purpose. The company Arbopark Promotion AG has submitted a planning application to the town of Arbon. The new tourist attraction is to be called "ArboPark".

Electric go-kart track as the main attraction

The attractions in the building are built by leading international manufacturers of leisure facilities. The main attraction is a go-kart track over several floors. It will cover a total area of 506m2 use. To keep noise emissions as low as possible, this go-kart track is electrically powered.

Other attractions on the ground floor include four bowling alleys and several rooms where you can play the game Cube Challenge. It is played in groups of two to four players, combining wits and skill in a race against time. Areas that can be hired for events will also be realised on the ground floor. There will also be a catering facility to cater for small appetites. A restaurant will not be part of the complex.

Virtual Reality Arena

A lounge terrace and several virtual reality rooms are planned on the mezzanine floor. It is not yet known with whom the collaboration is planned. However, it is clear that VR has become an integral part of such an amusement park project.

A high ropes course, a kind of climbing park and a smart golf course, where you can play virtual golf, will be realised on the upper floor. Another lounge terrace will also be added to the upper floor. In addition, a team-building room will be created there, which will be used jointly with the Saurer company.

Now it's time to keep our fingers crossed for this exciting-sounding project.
