The "Microsoft Flight Simulator" can be played in VR on the PC with selected headsets, as the appropriate update has been made available. This should increase the immersion in the cockpit even further.
Microsoft writes: "The Sim community has been a very active and insightful partner in the team's approach to VR - and remains an important ongoing partner in driving optimisation. Last but not least, Virtual Reality as a new component of Flight Sim is the direct result of your community feedback."
According to Microsoft, the goal was to make the update available to as many VR users as possible: "To achieve this, the free update needed to be compatible with a wide range of VR devices, including most Windows Mixed Reality headsets (including the HP Reverb G2), as well as Oculus, Valve and HTC headsets."
Once the free update is downloaded, you can take off right away with the right VR headset, Microsoft says. On the official page also contains a comprehensive FAQ that provides a lot of information about the "Microsoft Flight Simulator" in VR.
