We've known for some time that PlayStation VR will be compatible with the upcoming PlayStation 5. However, you can't just get started, because something has to be done first.
The new PS5 HD camera is not compatible with PlayStation VR and on the other hand, you cannot easily connect the previous camera of the PlayStation 4, which is responsible for capturing PSVR, to the new next-gen console. You need a special adapter for this, but Sony offers it free of charge.
About the official support page it is now possible to request the PS4 camera adapter. To do so, you have to provide some personal information and enter the serial number of your PSVR device (found on the back of the PSVR processor unit). Only one adapter can be ordered per household.
Shipping will start in Europe in mid-November 2020 and the shipping time can take up to two weeks. Since the PlayStation 5 will be launched in this country on 19 November 2020, you may not be able to play your PSVR titles on the PS5 right away. Otherwise, the FAQ more information about the topic.
