Minecraft soon playable with PlayStation VR

Mojang Studios and Microsoft have announced that "Minecraft" will soon be playable with PlayStation VR. The free update will be released in the course of September, although no date has yet been given.

According to executive producer Roger Carpenter, PSVR support is a long-planned feature that is currently being fine-tuned. The promise: "It's still Minecraft, but as an unrivalled VR experience. It's the Minecraft you can play every day, every week, every month, every year on the PlayStation 4. That's not changing. The full blast of Minecraft - guaranteed!"

The PSVR version of "Minecraft" will offer a range of new settings and instructions to customise the VR experience to your own needs. There are also two main ways to experience the game in virtual reality, the intensive mode and the living room mode.

"We think they're both really cool, but that's for you to decide. Just like the main game, you can use the DualShock 4 controller to build buildings and contraptions and go into battle, but you'll be fully immersed in the Minecraft world. I guarantee that at some point you will be one with the game," says Roger Carpenter.
