Video Games Deluxe, the Australian developer behind "L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files", is working on a new AAA VR project. What is particularly interesting is that it is an open-world game for Rockstar Games.
The information about the development of this AAA VR open-world game, which is being created in collaboration with Rockstar Games, comes from the LinkedIn page from Video Games Deluxe. It reads: "Following the completion of the critically well-received L.A. Noire: The V.R. Case Files, we are now gearing up for a new project, an AAA open-world title in VR for Rockstar Games. 2020 marks our seventh year working exclusively for Rockstar in Sydney and we look forward to tackling this groundbreaking project."
As there are no specific details about the game in the studio's LinkedIn announcement, it is of course open to speculation. But when you think of Rockstar Games and an open game world, two names immediately spring to mind: "Grand Theft Auto" and "Red Dead Redemption". Could it actually be that Video Games Deluxe is working on a VR version of "GTA 5" or "Red Dead Redemption 2"? After all, this has already worked for "L.A. Noire". Of course, the project could also be based on a completely new brand.
