With "Pokémon Smile", The Pokémon Company has developed a free AR app for iOS and Android, which is about motivating children to brush their teeth every day, in a playful way of course.
"Pokémon Smile" uses the mobile device's camera to capture the child's movements while brushing their teeth. If the child brushes their teeth thoroughly, they can defeat the bacteria that cause tooth decay and then catch Pokémon. This helps to brush all areas of the mouth. In total, over 100 species of Pokémon can be caught and the trailer provides impressions.
Parents can set to receive a notification from "Pokémon Smile" up to three times a day, reminding them that it is time for the children to brush their teeth. In addition, the duration of each toothbrushing can also be set from one to three minutes to meet the different needs of children of different ages.
