Capcom hasn't officially announced it yet, but there have been rumours for weeks and months that "Resident Evil 8" is in development and will be released in 2021 for the current and next generation of consoles.
Like "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard", the eighth instalment is to be played from a first-person perspective and, as the site says Gematsu According to a source, "Resident Evil 8" will offer PlayStation VR support, just like its predecessor. "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" could be played through completely in VR, which would now be possible again.
It is therefore quite possible that Capcom will once again rely on virtual reality. However, it is not yet clear whether PlayStation VR 2 will already be available at this time. It is assumed that Sony will release a PSVR successor at the earliest one year after the market launch of the PlayStation 5.
