In the age of social distancing and working from home, video conferencing and the associated tools are more in demand than ever before. Companies that want to get a little more out of their meetings can get a VR solution from HTC.
HTC will soon be offering its own social VR platform with "Vive Events". Alvin Wang Graylin, President of HTC Vive China, has announced on Twitter announced that the virtual meeting service is designed to be both budget and climate-friendly, while allowing the world to remain productive. What's more, users can participate with and without a VR headset.
The new "Vive Events" service is intended to take the place of events such as conferences and exhibitions. It supports up to 5,000 simultaneous participants. According to Alvin Wang Graylin, this number could be increased even further if required. Interested companies can contact HTC if they are interested.
