After previously only talking about March 2020, Valve has now officially confirmedthat "Half-Life: Alyx" will be launched on 23 March 2020. Valve Index, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and Windows Mixed Reality will be supported. However, Valve Index will offer some exclusive features.
In "Half-Life: Alyx", you take on the role of Alyx Vance, while the story is set between "Half-Life" and "Half-Life 2". Since the Black Mesa incident, the Combine has expanded its dominance over the planet even further and is now cramming the remaining population into cities, which we already experienced in Part 2. Alyx and her father Dr Eli Vance fight in the resistance against the invaders.
Valve promises that "Half-Life: Alyx" has been developed from the ground up for virtual reality and there is talk of complete immersion. Lastly, we have reported about itthat "Half-Life: Alyx" has massively boosted Valve Index's sales, which has led to supply bottlenecks in almost all regions.
