Stories in the digital space
The New Museum has been running New Inc. for six years, a laboratory that lays the foundations for imaginative storytelling in digital space. It sees itself as an incubator for the visually and acoustically sophisticated development of computer-generated spaces. New Inc members and alumni have already received numerous awards, including Emmy Awards and prizes at film festivals from Cannes to SXSW Film.
The Onassis Foundation has been committed to contemporary art for many years. However, its particular focus is on multimedia, digital works that are simultaneously anchored in real and virtual space. Twelve artists and producers will work in the 370 square metre ONX Studio for a year. Once a year, the studio will become a gallery for four weeks, where ONX members will present their latest creations.
