Half-Life: Alyx has the scope of Half-Life 2

Valve has made it clear that the upcoming "Half-Life: Alyx"will not be a small VR experience, we will be dealing with a full-fledged game. According to Valve, the new VR title has about the same scope as the classic "Half-Life 2", which is quite respectable.

It took playtesters about as long to play through the game as it did for "Half-Life 2", according to Valve, and there is also good news to report, because a release delay of "Half-Life: Alyx" is not very likely. "With the exception of a few changes to the final scene, the game is finished. Many of us at Valve, as well as the playtesters, have played through the entire game several times. Right now, we're primarily busy fine-tuning and fixing bugs. We are exactly where we want to be at this point in the development cycle. We are confident that we will reach our planned release," Valve said.

The developer also revealed that 80 people are currently working on "Half-Life: Alyx". This is the largest team Valve has ever had. "Half-Life: Alyx" will be released in March 2020 for Valve Index, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and Windows Mixed Reality. No exact release date has been given so far.
