Tikal and the Aftermath of the Blood Moon - in the test

During our visit to the Fusion Arena in Bern, we were able to experience the adventure: Tikal and the Aftermath of the Blood Moon. Rating five out of five stars!

After the entertaining conversation, during which we learnt all sorts of things about the Fusion Arena Bern, Tom switched to storytelling mode: the lore of a long-forgotten Mayan legend proves to be true: we are sent as a team to stop the awakening of evil in the shadow of the blood moon.

You will be equipped with hand and foot sensors, a PC rucksack and glasses. This will allow you to move around the room. Please don't throw anything, but pass from hand to hand and don't do anything that you wouldn't do in reality. These regulations come to me from the tests Dietlikon familiar!

As the game can only be played with at least 3 people, we have an additional player - Tom's wife Alice, who is also part of the team in Bern. Alice takes on the role of VR Happiness Manager - what an awesome job title! She promises not to spoil too much, and of course I won't do that here in this report either.

Once in VR, the first image reminds me strongly of the game Diamond Skull. On the one hand, of course, because of the avatars, but on the other, you have to light a torch first. I automatically try the trick that helped back then. Nep! It doesn't work. But after a short time we found the solution. In general, the puzzles were a lot easier. They have to be, because if 10 players are really wandering around in VR together, it doesn't get any easier. I think we only needed a little longer for one, as we didn't recognise the material as such. The 5th game from trueVRsystems works with lots of platforms and levels that port you away from or towards each other. Together with the cool graphics, it makes the game exciting and particularly beautiful to look at, despite the simple tasks. I was particularly taken with the glittering Maja God and the flowing lava. The grand finale with the mega monster is also impressive. Time flew by and I was almost a little disappointed when we finished. I could have wandered around the temple for much longer.

My partner also thought it was brilliant. It was his first VR experience ever and he was pretty impressed by the possibilities. We can therefore highly recommend the game for VR beginners and advanced players, as well as a visit to the friendly crew in Bern!
