From Software, which is known for titles like "Dark Souls" or "Bloodborne", last year released the interesting VR game "Déraciné" published. Unfortunately, the studio will not be launching another VR game any time soon.
Producer Masanori Takeuchi gave a reason for this: "At the moment, there are no firm plans. Because the hardware on Déraciné was actually a bit more limited than we expected. We couldn't quite represent the things we wanted to do with PlayStation VR." From Software instead wants to wait for new hardware that offers more power. This means, among other things, the PlayStation 5, which is expected next year, although this has not yet been officially confirmed.
"So maybe we'll wait a little bit and see what happens with the PlayStation 5 or the next-generation hardware. Then we'll see what kind of power we can draw from that and what we can render on that hardware to make a decision," Masanori Takeuchi continued. After all, From Software already has ideas for further VR projects.
