AR game Minecraft Earth unveiled

Microsoft and Mojang apparently want to „Pokémon Go“ ein wenig Konkurrenz machen, denn zum 10. Geburtstag von „Minecraft“ wurde das mobile Augmented Reality-Spiel „Minecraft Earth“ angekündigt.

„Minecraft Earth“ wird kostenlos für iOS und Android zur Verfügung stehen. Ein konkreter Termin wurde zwar noch nicht verraten, aber im Sommer 2019 wird eine geschlossene Beta stattfinden. Wie es heisst, wird die beliebte Spielmechanik mit der Augmented Reality-Technologie verbunden, wobei auf der official side all information is listed on the website. Das ist die Beschreibung laut Hersteller: „Mit Minecraft Earth erkundest du deine Nachbarschaft auf der Suche nach verschiedenen Blöcken und einzigartigen Monstern. Schliesse dich mit Freunden zusammen, erschaffe gemeinsam atemberaubende Gebäude und platziere sie in der realen Welt, wo du sie dank Augmented Reality in Lebensgrösse erkundest.
