Battlewake: Pirates & naval battles in VR

The VR studio Survios, which has already developed successful titles such as "Raw Data" and "Creed: Rise to Glory", is currently working on "Battlewake"which was launched in summer 2019 for VR arcades and also for VR home systems will appear.

"Set sail in Battlewake, a naval combat game designed exclusively for virtual reality. As four ancient, super-strong pirate lords battle for ultimate domination, you'll command a huge, battle-ready ship, navigate massive seascapes and engage in overwhelming naval warfare," which actually sounds quite promising. A trailer provides suitable impressions.

You are travelling in 13 upgradeable warships that have all kinds of unusual weapons at their disposal. You can also use magical abilities to summon tsunamis, maelstroms or an octopus. The sea is calculated dynamically, which is why it reacts to environmental influences. The story, which consists of 20 chapters, can be completed either alone or in co-operative mode with a friend. The battle mode is also available for versus multiplayer battles. On the official site you can register for the closed beta.
