Valve has unveiled its own VR headset called Valve Index, but without providing any concrete information. What we do know is that the VR headset will be launched on the market in May 2019.
A price has not yet been announced and the technical specifications are also not available. On the Teaser page only a picture of Valve Index can be seen, together with the words "Upgrade your experience". You can recognise two front cameras, for example, whose exact purpose is unknown. Presumably they are not used for tracking in the room. Valve's Lighthouse is probably responsible for this.
It is assumed that the cameras are intended to see the outside world or perhaps to capture the controllers or hands. The controller, on the other hand, could be used to adjust the eye distance and IR sensors are also visible. According to rumours, Valve Index could appear with the Knuckles controllers and "Half Life VR". It can be assumed that details will be revealed soon.
