HTC Vive goes wireless

The VR glasses Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and PlayStation VR inspire millions of people. However, the only thing that most users criticise are the cables. These restrict user freedom and the user must always be careful that these cables do not get in the way. With the HTC glasses in particular, there is an acute risk of tripping. However, this should soon be a thing of the past, at least with the HTC Vive.

The Chinese company TPCast has developed an adapter that frees every HTV Vive from cables. The adapter is a product officially supported by HTC, which is offered at an impressive price of 220 dollars. The pre-sale was launched on the Chinese HTC Vive website on 11 November and was completely sold out within 18 minutes. The useful accessory will be delivered at the beginning of 2017 and until now, the adapter could only be pre-ordered for the Chinese market. However, HTC wants to make this product available to the rest of the world soon.

What is possible for HTC Vive should surely also be possible for the other two VR glasses. We are excited to see what accessories the near future will bring. In any case, it seems that the glasses will become wireless sooner than expected.
