Dear Angelica for Oculus Go in 5K

The VR film "Dear Angelica" is considered a great success and now more VR fans can experience this work. Originally released for Oculus Rift, "Dear Angelica" can now also be experienced in 5K with Oculus Go.

"Dear Angelica" is about a young woman who writes a letter to her deceased mother. You experience the memories of her mother. Another special feature is that it was the first VR film to be drawn entirely by hand. "Dear Angelica" was released almost two years ago for Oculus Rift and was produced by the now closed Oculus Story Studio.

Oculus Head of Technology John Carmack has realised the port for Oculus Go via its new 5K playback format. However, Oculus Go does not offer movement in the depth of space, which is a disadvantage. As Oculus Go also has significantly less computing power than Oculus Go, "Dear Angelica" is displayed as a pre-rendered 360-degree video. "Dear Angelica" can be downloaded free of charge for Oculus Go and Oculus Rift can be loaded.
